_{I can't afford a print shop.
So instead
I will make prints upon request, give you a quote, and from there anyone can privately discuss payment.

I feel I'd make more dough doing commissions, rather than paying for a shop that hardly gets used.
I don't make enough money for that.
So yeah. Thought ya'll should know xD

Thank you to those who have supported myself and my shop, its been greatly appreciated
but if I'm to do this ever again, I'm gonna need a job that will give me more hours. Or just pay me more.

Speaking of
I think I want to get some New Year's resolutions in order!
The first:
1) Get your foot in the door - display artwork locally and participate in art shows, you lazy bum!
Easier said than done. Im scared of people when it comes to asking for favors D':
Or for much anything

2) SELL PRINTS
THAT I'm getting help on. I'm really considering starting an Artfire account to sell my wares
I just need to do a little budgeting (considering Im trying to save for school and Im only working part time D': ) and then I can set some money aside for some monthly payments! Whoo!
That also might mean cancelling my SWTOR subscription
HMM ;^;
Anyway. Artfire. My rules. My prices. Chyeah.

3) Grow a spine/become a honey badger
There are some things that have happened that make me wanna kick myself in the butt really hard
(Its more difficult than it seems)
So in order to kick myself less, I would like to get a thicker skin and show people how many craps I give
I'm an adult. I can say no and be honest about it.
I can also tell people they smell bad and that's why I don't wanna hang out with them
Anyway.
Its 3 am.
Can you sense my brilliance/madness?

So that's what's going on! That, and Radcon is coming up in a month!!
SO EXCITED YAY
I'll also be saving for Sakuracon
I will be going as Noodle from Gorillaz for Radcon, most def.
And maybe I'll be Lightning again for Sakuracon!

I have plans of being a Stormtrooper in 2014
(and maybe someday.. I will be Midna from LOZ: Twilight Princess. Dream cosplay right thurr)

Oh, and my best friend is coming home from his Mission in a month

I figure I should put my drawings to some use

Depending on the medium, and the size of the drawing, I was thinking they will cost different amounts
Seems logical, right?
Also, when I do decide to do prints (the right way), I'll charge different amounts for the size of the picture.
I know. I should have done this long ago.
But things.

A retainer means that I get this amount first and up front. Once I get that, I will start on the commission and charge $5 by the hour upon completion. Once finished, I will notify you, show you what I've done, and then you can decide if you want me to fix something, to redo the whole thing (which I will do for free), or to scrap the idea. Basically, we will walk through this commission together until YOU are satisfied with the finished product. If you like what I've done, great! I send off the finished piece once I get the rest of my pay. Everyone's happy!

For different mediums, I'll charge...
Line art: $15 retainer, +$5 an hour until completion
This will be the cheapest deal. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy
Shaded: $20 retainer, +$5 an hour until completion
This will be the regular deal, and takes less time to complete than a digital piece
Digital: $25 retainer, +$5 an hour until completion
This will definitely be the most expensive, because of hours of coloring

Note: If you don't like what Ive made, I will redo it over and over until youre satisfied with the product

For different canvas sizes, I'll charge...
My normal choice is 9x12
But if you request something on a larger scale (such as an 18x24 or higher), I will add $5 more to the retainer
If youd like something smaller than a 9x12 (such as a 5x7 or somewhere in between), I will take off $5 from the retainer

If you decide to buy a print...
Well, I havent quite figured this part out yet, and I dont wanna do it through DA's method
I'm definitely thinking about having people send their dues via PayPal}

Yeah, so I went to Radcon 6 a couple weeks ago
(I was Lightning, in case no one, er, caught that. Anyway)
Its a nerdy convention held here in Washington state, and is probably the second biggest con here, aside from Sakuracon (and all the other cons we have, apparently. Like ZombieCon, Steamcon, ComicCon, and - get this - BrickCon: LEGO convention. Yeah!)
Not joking. Its super fun.

During the first day, the Radcon staff/cosplayers were making a short YouTube film.
I happened to ruin/sabotage it at the very end, unknowingly. I had no idea they were recording anything... until I walked past them.
Morbidly embarrassing? Oh yeah.
But they kept it in.
Here it is

Also, this guy, SinisterHojo on Youtube, was interviewing a bunch of Cosplayers
I was one of them

It took me about a year to figure out that Radcon did not mean 'Radical Convention'. It's Radiation Convention, so hurray for my slow-moving brain. So anyway, this con this year totally ripped apart last years, not only in funness, but it was so fracking MAGICAL! Ive been needing this weekend for a long time, and now that Ive had it, I'll never forget it, and I have pictures to show for it xD

RADCON DAY ONE

So, first day of Radcon, the line was a mile long well into the night. Ridiculous. SO ridiculous xD I guess last year, for one, it didnt feel as if a lot of people came. Then again, I DID sneak in. But thats a different story. So, the line. I was already late getting there since I had to pin myself together. I felt dumb until I was inside the building, but some kid from this school bus shouted that he liked my costume. I didnt expect it so I was like, HUH? D8
Anyway, I went to the back of that formidable line, waiting for my friends to find me, and they did - along with a group of boys with Psychonaut-ripoff tinfoil hats. They spouted off how they saw a Lulu (Eleasha) and Rikku (Livi) previously and then interviewed me. Apparently we're gonna be on YouTube at some point, according to Mike and Zade xD Anyway, geeky conversation ensued, and my friends did join me in line c:
Kia and her cousin were behind us too, so that was happy! <3

The line was LOOOOOOOONG. I think it took us about an hour or so to finally get my badge, since the others had gotten theirs before me. Luckily I had Livi to keep me company for most of it, and then Kia, then 'Leasha. And once that was over we walked around, hitting the shops, stopping a LOT for pictures for other people, and soaking up the atmosphere. ((Egh, sometimes it pains me to write like this xD; I dont talk like this usually but anyway...))

We hit all the shops and the Hospitality (or hostility room) for food and such. We ran into our tinfoil bandits a lot too, which was nice cause THEY are nice c:

Our fanboys were on a mission to solve this mystery about this conspiracy at Radcon or something, and the tinfoil hats they wore were for protection from getting their brains scrambled. Apparently someone at the convention was sowing seeds of chaos, so they had to stop them... or just confront them. Anyway, they were off doing that for most of the two days. Saving the world, one geek convention at a time.

There were a lotta neat things there, shopping-wise. Adventures Underground had a little store with books, comics, and action figures. There was a gypsy-wear store with all sorts of jinglies. There was a sword shop, a Bawls place, and something else dealing with costumes and jewelry. There was also all of that in this giant room on the first floor. So, like, all those little stores in one, plus an art section c:
I think I might do that next year, since Ive been bugged about it from some guy who helps put on Radcon each year. Think I should?

So there was Kathryn, Nybs, Livi, Mandar, Leasha, and me in an entourage, mostly. Mandar kinda came and went as she pleased with Kia, and Nybs had to go home for her Sabbath. So for most of the DAY it was Kathryn, Leasha, Livs, and me. We got SO many more fans than last year as Kingdom Hearts characters, and it was only day one xD
We saw a lot of neat people. We saw a couple of Edward Elrics, some men in suits of armor, women in beautiful warrior wear or dresses, Master Chief (<3), Altair from Assassins Creed, Roxas, Toph, a buncha freaky furries, goths, hookers (their corsets freaked me out, for some of 'em. Lookin like tube boobs), candy goths, and people who didnt need to dress up to be cool c:
SO fun meeting new people and getting pictures with fans. It was awesome.

At some point of the day, we attended a wedding c: The CEO of Radcon and this local authors brother (or something) got married outside. We were there a little early, so we all just chatted. I got to know the guy I'm PRETTY sure I have a crush on more. For the most part, I would like to be his friend. He's got a lot of good qualities, and he's got a lovely girl who loves him, AND he's handsome and likes a lot of the same things I do, so he's gotta be cool, right? I just dunno if I wanna see him rave ever again )8 Nnnngh...
Anyway, wedding. We all stood outside, and I think half the convention was there. It was so cool c: Their bridesmaids and flower girls were SO gorgeous, kind of wearing black and white lolita gowns, and the BRIDE was SO pretty! Her dress was amazingly gorgeous <3 The groomsmen also were dressed a little different from the traditional suits: white tripp pants with black... stuff. Trim? Whatever! They also wore vests too xD It was SO cool.

After that, we kinda dinked around again and eventually played Go Fish to pass the time with Mike and Zade c: It was fun, and I was defeated both games xD But it was fun! There was also Pictionary on the second floor, writers vs artists, and Livi and I just sat there blurting out answers cause we didnt belong to any side xD It was so fun though! Those adults not only had cool costumes but they were SO funny! Even though I didnt really participate, it was real fun c:

You cant have Radcon without pictures. We took a few of those xD
Most of the others were taken by Kathryn and Livi, I only took a smidgen. But anyway, we got Zade and Mike there with us, and, well, took some pictures! 8D Sadly, three of the pics from day one didnt go through, so that was sad :C Hope we made up for it on day two!

Oh yeah, then there was the rave. I thought Id go just to see what it was like, cause I did NOT go last year. I was afraid of other people, and I had a right to be, since one of them tried to grind Livi down to nothing on day two >.>

Anyway, we didnt stay horribly long, since Leasha needed to go home to get some sleep for Avenue Q the next day ( 8D! ) But I had fun. I learned how to dance FAST and WELL. I guess.
Thats right, I rave AND slow dance. However, I do not hump other people, or allow them to hump me. The music is usually good, and if youre just bouncin around with friends, its really fun 8D
Amanda, Leasha, Livs, Mike, Zade and I were all in our little section of the stage, near the speakers. The Shadow was on stage. But I wish he'd kept his shirt on )x I may LIKE him but I dont think I like him THAT much. Yet? Still, was hard to look away : =sigh= The strobe lights felt like a dream when they went really fast o . o Or like a bunch of pictures being taken really fast. I got a little dizzy but then I got used to it xD Coulda done without the smoke though )8 Kia couldnt breathe in it. Oh Kia...

Well, so when Leasha needed to go home, we said goodbye. My feet were (and still are) so sore xD So Im really tempted to scoot my butt everywhere rather than walk. So, I dropped Leasha off at home, and drove home happy. Went to bed. Woke up at 8:30, got dressed, and then..

RADCON DAY 2

I met Rinoa (Kathryn) at her van cause she was still gettin situated. She looked great in her costume 8D She wore a fan-made Rinoa design that people liked SO much they made a cosplay outfit from it, so thats what Kathryn wore c: Cuuuuuute <3
So, the morning was kinda bleak. Kathryn and I kinda wandered around, ate a little, wandered some more, think we saw Zade and Mike a few times during their mission to save Radcon, and we went in the stores a few times. OH in one of the stores was a cat named Chaz. He was a cute kitty <3
Kathryn also bought a Dr Horrible comic c: AWESOOOOME~!

We also checked out the art place again, and apparently Id missed a few pictures. I enjoy people's talents, unless they use them for bad, but there was a LOT of talent here c: Eventually Kathryn and I went upstairs and played Egyptian Rat. This little kid wanted to play with us so we taught him how to play... and he kicked our butts xD I was so impressed! Livi joined us a while later as Rikku, so then we headed out again. We also saw Alaina and Julie often, both days c: Fab ladies, they are!

There was a fight that day
Well, several fights 8D With men and women in armor outside in the courtyard! That was fun! First, this old geezer showed us some tai chi and some fighting moves, then let the knights brawl it out. It was AWESOME. My favorite knight had THE coolest set of armor. Id never seen it before so he instantly became my favorite! Thanks Livs for getting pictures 8D <3

Next, Kadaj (Amanda) met up with us, and her costume looked great! We also saw a Sephiroth so it was like some sorta paradox going on. Good thing they didnt both explode when they saw each other, unless it was in joy. Sooooooo we wandered around some more. I even got a Valentine from Zade, who gave me a cute note and a feathery rose c: Thank you Zade!
Then we tried having people decode Rikku's message on her bag:

"Vnaa rik ev oui lyh nayt drec"

A few die-hard fans REALLY wanted to decode it, and some knew some Al Bhed, but I think only one person solved it, and that was Zade xD Good job, Sir Guardian! The prize was great, no? Better than anything you could ever imagine, right?
The answer was:

So, that was fun xD Yes, more fans, more adventures, more awesome costumes! And charades. They had charades. We went to charades and charades was fuuuun xD Again, I blurted out stuff and just kinda observed. Kathryn went up there TWICE. She's amazing!
I think a little while before or after that we went to the giant store on the bottom floor, and I got a Clone Trooper pin while Livi got a Digimon Matt pin c:

Livi and Kathryn checked out clothes while I kinda just daydreamed and dinked around with em.

And... a girl got very sick that day ):
I was going to the ladies bathroom from the store where Livs and Kathryn were, and before I enter a woman walked out, saying some girl was puking in there. I was like, is she okay? And she goes, I dunno. So I go in, thinking it wasnt really serious puking I guess? But one of the girls friends who was with her in the stall came rushing out.
I go, is she alright?
She goes, I dunno, I hope so!
Something like that. But then I sensed something else must have been wrong with her then. I ended up taking my stuff and going to a different bathroom. I didnt wanna go and with someone suffering in the other stall. Felt it was an insult.
I returned to the store from the other bathroom, and I saw Amber there That was happy, since I hadnt seen her in w long time!. Anyway, we finished browsing, and thats when we couldnt get anywhere. They blocked the halls because a stretcher was coming in for the girl in the bathroom. I dont know what was wrong with her, if she was sick or just got drunk, but I felt terrible. if there was a way I could have helped, I would have, but then again... I didnt feel it was my place. Her two friends where there instead of me. And if it were me with a sick friend, Id probably freak out a little bit. Or a lot. So, once the girl was in the ambulance, the halls were clear again. It wasn't happy.

Oh yeah, then Tifa showed up.

Yes, Nybs came as the fabulous Tifa, and even more people flocked. Not only did Nybs look gorgeous as Tifa, but she also got a picture taken with Altair c: Yay! So then came the Masquerade at some point, which we should have signed up for cause I think we woulda won, and ugh, and Vegeta and Kakashi pulled a siwtch-aroo. That was amusing xD xD
Buuut there were some cool acts! I dont remember all of em but two:
Obgyn Kinobi and Portal
Heck YES <3

Then there were the fire dancers
Wings, balls-and-chains, chains, swords, rods, and whips aflame
It was COOL <3

After that, we wandered some more, got pictures, and eventually went to the rave that night. I danced more and got WATER on me from some idiots on stage )x Goodbye perfect hair, hello unhealthy poof. It also ruined Amanda's Kadaj hair a bit, with wasnt fair. We popped in and out of that for water breaks and such, and I got to talk to Kia a little more. Maybe not about the best things, but at least it was talking yknow? c: Yes... sometimes I wish I did have history...
I really should have taken running start xD
So after a couple hours of dancing and my feet screaming at me to sit on my butt, I decided it was time to go home. Located Zade at first, since he was raving with us, then we lost Zade and met up with Mike just in time for the drunk parade, so we got held up a few minutes xD No worries, since we took more pics. It was wonderful c:

... and I get way too attached to these people I meet.
And so because of it, I gave Mike a smooch on the cheek as a goodbye.
Once the parade was over, Livi, Mike and I met with Zade and his other two friends who were present. We took a couple more group pics, and then I gave Zade a smooch on the cheek as well, and gave his other friends both hugs. Theyd been so NICE the past few days, AND saved Radcon before 1:30 am ((and this was their FIRST RADCON EVAR)), why NOT give them a friendly smooch? Oh, and Zade gave me his necklace D': You didnt have to, its yours! Maybe Ill send it back... Not that I dont appreciate the gift xD; Really, thank you!
Anyway, they may or may not be at the next Radcon, but who knows? ;D

We all said goodbye, and I headed out to my car, my staff in hand just in case. Well, my car wouldnt start xD So after about ten or so minutes of working with it, I went back inside to call my dad since my phone was dead. Then, 15 minutes later, my dad picked me up, drove to my car, and he toyed with it. Lifted the hood, dinked with some stuff, tried it, and after about five minutes, got my car going. Apparently one wire to the battery wasnt properly connected, but thats fixed now, apparently c: So, I drove home, my dad behind me, and I got all my junk together, took a few more pics, and went to sleep.

The verdict:
Radcon was way awesome
I made some new friends
Learned how to dance better - now Im a dancing hybrid xD
My feet HURT and they will continue to HURT for days

Ill add more later but Ive gotta scoot! Loved Radcon! You guys are awesome <3

Wow.
Graduation day was eventful.
Maybe too eventful.

My day started off with joining Kyle, Rachael, and Laurell at Dallin's house for giant waffles.
I think I ate more than everyone else
Too waffles almost caused me to explode.
These waffles had strawberry syrup, a mountain of whipped cream, and Hershey's syrup on them.
Stomach... was... uncomfortable...
But it was fun

Then I was playin on the comp, minding my own business when I started feeling pain.
This wasnt normal 'time of the month' pain.
This seriously hurt.
I go to the bathroom.
Gets worse.
I go lay down.
Nothing.
I get up to go back to the bathroom... and thats when I got really dizzy and broke out in a cold sweat. I waited by the sink just in case, but I decided to resist.
I look dead when I see myself in the mirror.
Thats when my dad said I needed to go to the ER, so I did.

Of course, there was nothing wrong with me.
It was just... really really wierd. I got stuff out of my system and checked up and was fine.
I felt fine.
Thank goodness for prayers ._.

Oh, and guess what?
I'm late for my own graduation.
I dash over to the place, get in my gown, and wait back there with some of the staff while Brian was talking. When everyone stood, the staff said to go sit.
I shoulda gone around and not through.
Yes, I was that straggler.
Thanks Brian.

The speeches were great, especially Wesley's 'Live Long and Prosper'.

I got to see my siblings, friends, parents, and then we went to Amanda's graduation party. I got to meet her other family members, and the food was awesome.
Then, we went to the senior party.

Lets just say they spent a lot of money on it.
There were hundreds of prizes drawn about every half hour, such as 25$ giftcards to iHome Speakers to toasters (I really wanted that toaster), and door prizes. The grand prize was a freaggin car. They also had plenty of activities, such as: Henne tattoos, Bingo, a Casino, a Cash Vault (where you catch fake money, but use it for drawing prizes), live entertainment, free good food, a blow-up obstacle coarse and sparring arena, free pictures, and a hypnotist.
Holy. Crap.

I got to see and spend time with a lot of friends, so I was happy :3
I played bingo, went to the tattoo place, get pics taken, get some grub. The night is pretty good.
I meet up with Konnor and Wesley, and we go outside to the blowup obstacle course. I challenge Konnor to a race, and we go into the course.
Those things... are not as soft as you'd think.
I jump in, get a little stuck, climb the first, slippery, plastic ladder, and drop down into this shallow area close to the ground.
Well, I put too much weight on my foot landing, and the next thing I know, Im almost cursing.
HOLY SH-- OW.

I finish the course. Then I challenge James.
I was a little slower, as my foot decided it really did hurt.
I couldnt take another step, so I plopped down. Later, it starts to swell up, with a portion of my foot looking like it was growing a thumb or something.
Amanda carries me around, seeing as, yeah... walking = bad.

People.
Curse their curiosity. I got to retell the same story over and over again as my foot kept getting bigger and yuckier. We finally headed to the gym, where there was live entertainment and draw-prizes. We stay there the majority of the time, and a nurse helps wrap my foot in ice.
Of course, I feel like a wimp, losing to a blowup obstacle course (but later I found out a lot of people got hurt on those things). My friends were being... extra careful? They always asked if I needed anything and stuff. It was awkward.
Even my not close friends... or aquaintences, asked if I needed anything. I was mostly puzzled when Casey was offering to help. He even brough me a bite sized 3 Musketeer bar xD
I thanked him.
At around 2 am I decide to head home. One of the staff members carries me to my car because, quite frankly, hopping on one foot is a workout.

Now I have the boot, an iHome I won as a doorprize (thank you, karma), and a reason to sit on the comp all day.
Graduation night was awesome.
